I woke up to a dreary cold day. ( You know, one of those days where you just want to snuggle up and have a fire and stare out the window.)
So, I cuddled up inside of a big royal purple heavy blanket (Mark’s favorite blanket), and decided to scroll through some old Instagram photos and videos.
I have been a bit hesitant to do this because it just makes me miss Mark and then I cry seeing us together.
I came across this video of Mark and I dancing and it did quite the opposite. It made me grin from ear to ear.
This Instagram post was from April 2016.
Here is what I had written to go along with the video:
“Conversing, smoking cigars by a fire and staring into my lover’s eyes while dancing gets me going every time!
Mark Hoverson, “The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.” – Alan W. Watts “
At the time, this quote helped me with the changing season of Mark’s health, and today, it helped remind me to move with this new change and join the dance.
As I continue to receive texts when friends are thinking of Mark or see new FB posts of memories they had with Mark, this video reminded me how much Mark was able to turn a “moment” into an instant “Magical Moment” .
This night in the dancing video, I remember having some of the best conversations while smoking a cigar and watching our bonfire with music in the background.
In the middle of it, he puts down his cigar, looks at me, smirks at me with his Hoverson smile, grabs my hand and begins dancing with me.
